BUENAVISTA, PRESENTACION — In a strong display of fraternal unity and environmental stewardship, the Bicol Camarines Sur Region 1 (BCSR1) Eagles Club successfully carried out a community outreach and reforestation mission at Buenavista Elementary School and along the Buenavista River.
Anchored on the fraternity’s core purpose—“Service to country, its people, and its community”—the initiative was led by Regional Governor Herman Bobis and supervised by Regional Vice Governor Armen Gavarra. The activity drew the active participation of Kuya, Ate, and Aspirants from various BCSR1 clubs, underscoring the organization’s enduring commitment to grassroots development.
The program began at Buenavista Elementary School, with a focus on addressing the immediate needs of its students. A major highlight was the distribution of new footwear to 210 pupils. Club leaders shared that slippers were selected as a practical and meaningful gift, offering comfort and dignity to children who regularly navigate challenging terrain on their way to school.
Further extending assistance, the volunteer team of Kuya Job Froyalde, owner of Kuya’s Barber Shop, generously offered free haircut services to students and parents.
The school grounds soon came alive with excitement as students received Jollibee food packs. In a heartfelt show of appreciation, the pupils presented dance and games performances that reflected both their talents and the vibrant spirit of the school community.
Following the school program, Eagles members—together with teachers and students—proceeded to the Buenavista River for a tree-planting activity. Addressing the recurring threats of seasonal flooding and soil erosion, the initiative aimed to strengthen the riverbank through sustainable environmental action.
Through the coordination of the Metro Partido Peninsular Eagles Club, the DENR–CENRO Goa provided Narra saplings for the activity. Chosen for their deep root systems, the trees serve as a natural barrier against erosion. By engaging students in the planting process, the Eagles also sought to instill environmental awareness and responsibility among the youth.
The Presentacion Municipal Police Station (PNP) played a vital role in the success of the mission. Beyond ensuring the safety and security of all participants, PNP personnel demonstrated true community partnership by actively joining the tree-planting efforts. Their hands-on involvement strengthened community ties and reflected a shared commitment to public safety and environmental protection.
Barangay Captain Hon. Garwin Bares expressed his sincere gratitude to the fraternity for choosing Barangay Buenavista as the beneficiary of the outreach.
Meanwhile, Mr. Antonino Selos, Head Teacher of Buenavista Elementary School, praised the initiative in his official message:
“On behalf of the faculty and staff, we extend our deepest thanks to the Fraternal Order of Eagles - Philippine Eagles Inc. BCSR1 for choosing our school as a beneficiary. This intervention provides not only material support, but also a renewed sense of hope for our students’ future.”
Through initiatives such as this, the BCSR1 Eagles Club continues to reinforce its role as a catalyst for local development—proving that through unity, service, and collaboration, meaningful and lasting community transformation is possible.

Camarines Sur, Philippines – True service knows no boundaries, and the Eagles have once again demonstrated that brotherhood, compassion, and selfless action can transform lives. On February 22, 2025, the Bicol Camarines Sur Region 1 (BCSR1) of the Fraternal Order of Eagles - Philippine Eagles Inc. launched a community outreach program, making a meaningful impact in Barangay Sabang Del Gallego and Barangay Pandan, Cabusao, Camarines Sur.
Eagles from various clubs united with a shared mission to uplift communities in need, turning their commitment into action through three impactful initiatives:
✅ Slipper Distribution for Grade School Pupils
For many children in these barangays, walking to school in old, worn-out slippers or barefoot is a daily struggle. To ease their hardship, the Eagles distributed new slippers, offering them protection and comfort. The children’s smiles spoke volumes, reflecting their gratitude and newfound sense of dignity.
✅ Feeding Program
A nutritious meal is essential for a child’s ability to focus and thrive in school. Understanding this, the Eagles organized a feeding program, serving hot bowls of goto to ensure that young children received the nourishment they need. Beyond food, the initiative provided warmth, care, and reassurance that they are valued and supported.
✅ Pet Vaccine Donation
Public health and animal welfare go hand in hand. To protect both residents and their pets, the Eagles generously donated vaccines, helping to prevent the spread of diseases and promote safer, healthier communities. Through this initiative, the Eagles reaffirm their commitment to compassion, service, and responsible pet care, ensuring a better environment for all. This initiative was a proactive step in ensuring a healthier environment for all.
The event’s success was a testament to the unwavering commitment of the Eagles to humanitarian service. More than just an organization, BCSR1 represents a movement driven by compassion, unity, and the desire to make a real difference in the lives of others.
This initiative was more than just an effort to distribute slippers, provide food, or vaccinate pets. It was about restoring hope, reinforcing the spirit of volunteerism, and showing communities that they are not forgotten. The generosity, dedication, and selflessness displayed by the Eagles reaffirm their core values of honor, loyalty, and integrity, embodying what it truly means to serve.
The event was successfully led by Kuya Bobby Matamorosa and Kuya Herman Bobis, alongside the regional officers and dedicated club members of Bicol Camarines Sur Region 1. Their guidance and commitment played a pivotal role in the program’s success, ensuring that the outreach efforts effectively touched lives and strengthened the community. Their leadership not only reinforced the organization’s mission of service but also inspired others to continue the legacy of uplifting lives through brotherhood and compassion.
